Meet Dr. Buttar
Daljit S. Buttar, M.D. is one of the few distinguished physicians in America who is board-certified in three distinct medical specialties: Pain Medicine, Neurology and Psychiatry.
Dr. Buttar received his initial medical schooling in his native India, at the prestigious Amristar Medical College. He completed a rotating internship and residency training in General Surgery. He moved to the US in 1981 and completed a dual-residency program in Psychiatry and Neurology at Nassau County Medical Center in New York in 1988.
Dr. Buttar practiced Neurology in Raleigh, North Carolina for many years (including providing inpatient services at all area hospitals, including REX Hospital, Wake Medical Center, Raleigh Community Hospital and Western Wake Hospital in Cary). However, he branched exclusively into interventional pain management in 1998 and established the Raleigh Pain Clinic, which later became affiliated with Cedar Healthcare. He currently practices office-based Interventional Pain procedures for spine pain and headache disorders. He has performed thousands of minimally invasive procedures over the years for relief of spine pain and headaches and with excellent results.
