  • Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS)

What are the symptoms of spine pain?

Spine pain could present as one or more of the following symptoms:

  • Decreased range of motion
  • Diminished mobility
  • Numbness
  • Tingling
  • Stiffness
  • Dull aching
  • Chest, arm, or leg pain
  • Poor posture

Which spinal injections are best for me?

Which spinal injections are available?

Some of the many spinal injections available at Raleigh Spine and Pain Center include:

Regenerative medicine

Regenerative medicine uses stem cells and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from your blood to stimulate new cell generation and enhance your body’s natural healing ability.

Steroid injections

Steroid injections reduce spinal inflammation and discomfort.

Raleigh Spine and Pain Center offers cervical epidural steroid injections to alleviate neck pain, caudal steroid injections to reduce back pain, lumbar transforaminal epidural steroid injections for back pain relief, sacroiliac joint steroid injections, cervical transforaminal epidural steroid injections, and thoracic epidural steroid injections.

The practice offers RACZ caudal neurolysis that uses an anesthetic and steroids to diminish painful scarring.

Epidural injections

Your spine specialists use epidural injections that contain anesthetic to relieve spine pain. Examples include lumbar sympathetic blocks, other nerve blocks, facet joint injections to reduce neck and back pain, and more.

Radiofrequency ablation

Radiofrequency ablation uses heat to diminish pain signals. Raleigh Spine and Pain Center offers lumbar radiofrequency rhizotomy, cervical facet radiofrequency rhizotomy, and thoracic facet radiofrequency rhizotomy to alleviate spinal discomfort.

Intradiscal electrothermal therapy (IDET)

During IDET, your spine specialist heats nerves and repairs discs using a catheter and a special temperature-controlled device.

Vertebroplasty

During vertebroplasty, your spine specialist uses special cement to repair spine fractures and the pain they cause.

Right before each spinal injection, Dr. Buttar and his staff numb the treatment area to eliminate discomfort. They can also offer a sedative to help you feel more relaxed. Dr. Buttar uses X-ray guidance to ensure he injects the right areas within or near your spine to provide the superior pain relief you desire.
